Matt's passion for his work
is equally matched by his passion for his commmunity and
the great outdoors.
I live in the North Panhandle
near Golden Gate Park but have lived all over the city
and fallen in love with its diversity. I was born and
raised in the mountains of Colorado (see photo above),
and I bring a background in real estate, public relations,
publishing and photography to the San Francisco market.
Having been involved in real estate since I graduated
from the University of Colorado at Boulder, I have a long
track record of first-hand experience as both a buyer
and a seller. I pride myself in my integrity and attentive
service, and with my background as a business owner in
public relations, publishing and photography, I have a
wealth of experience that all adds up to bring my clients
the best possible marketing of their properties, and unparalleled
attentive service.
I thrive on helping people
realize their financial and residential dreams in the
high-energy market of San Francisco.
As an active member of
the high-tech generation, I also have a strong background
in Web design, plus graphic design and layout, to produce
the strongest possible collateral materials for each and
every client. Add to that my background in visual arts
and photography, and you have an agent with an eye for
the present or potential beauty in all of San Francisco’s
homes.
An active cyclist, motocross racer, and skier, I enjoy
balancing my time between my love of the high energy in
the city, with the relaxed pace of the mountains. In San Francisco,
I currently reside in the North Panhandle/Lone Mountain,
near the University of San Francisco. I am an active business
and individual member of NOPNA, the North Panhandle Neighborhood
Association.
As a committed
member of the San Francisco community, I have given over
$150,000 to local nonprofit organizations in the past
four years.
I work closely with
the San Francisco Foundation to support local arts organizations
such as Intersection for the Arts, SFJAZZ, and the Film
Arts Foundation. I have also funded non-profits such as
KCSM Jazz Radio, KUSF Radio, Precita Eyes Mural Project,
The Shee Theatre Company, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts,
and SFMOMA. A portion of each of my commissions goes directly
to my donor advised fund at the San Francisco Foundation,
and eventually to a local non-profit.
I am also very active in my neighborhood association in
the North of Panhandle. Neighborhoods are what make San
Francisco so special, and the associations are what keep
each part of San Francisco unique. I donate both time
and money to help keep mine and many other neighborhoods
clean and safe.
Currently, I have a challenge grant at Intersection for
the Arts, San Francisco’s oldest alternative arts
space, located at 446 Valencia Street in the Mission District.
I am matching gifts from individual donors over $1000,
up to a total of $20,000 per year for the next two years.
The three past years they surpassed their $15,000 goal,
raising an average of $20,000 for each of the three years
(of which I matched a total of $45,000). If you haven’t
been to Intersection for theatre, jazz, literary events,
or the gallery, you should put it on your to-do list.
Celebrating its 42nd birthday in 2007, it really is one
of San Francisco’s most important art spaces.
With Matt at the helm
of various associations, you can be sure he knows the
latest buzz on city politics that affect the property
market.

"Matt explained the
deal without being condescending. He was patient when
I was wigging, aggressive when we needed someone on our
side and fun to work with when we needed lightening up.
Matt rocks!"
